The Story

Once Upon A Time…

…a very tired princess washed her face like she did every night, with the same products she used every night. As she looked upon the two products she began to wonder things. One product was all natural, felt lovely to use, and was quick to expire, as all things found in nature must. The Second product had many long, unpronounceable words on the back and would most certainly last until the end of time. Having attended the finest health institute in all the land, the princess knew two basic things to be true: that one must never put something on your skin that you would not put in your mouth, and that if you can’t pronounce it, it’s probably not good for you. The princess knew that when it comes to your body the more natural the better. As the princess stared at each product she said to herself the very same thing that often results in mishaps and sad tales, “I bet I could make this myself.” She felt sure she could replicate the more natural product herself with things from her garden and with even fewer ingredients. She was also completely certain she could do much better than the complicated chemical potion she held in her other hand. And so armed with the knowledge gained from her education, a garden full of medicinal plants, and more books than she could carry at once, the princess set off to her kitchen to try a few things. She tinkered and experimented until she was able to produce something for she and her family to enjoy. Then one product became two, two became three, and eventually friends and extended family began asking for this remedy, and that lotion. Eventually the princess’s true love, the Prince, got involved insisting that she needed to label her potions and remedies properly and in a “professional manner". And thus, The Shabby Duckling was born.

And she lived happily ever after.

The End.
